Life as a Child Domestic Worker
This research project (August
2024 – April 2025) explores the trajectories, drivers, and experiences of
children working in Nepal’s domestic sector. It investigates the recruitment
pathways of children from rural and marginalized communities into domestic
labor, while also analyzing the social, economic, and cultural factors that
push and pull children into this sector. The study aims to document their
experiences and inform policy interventions.
