SEVA (Social Enrichment Volunteer Action)

SEVA is a volunteer promotion program of CWISH. SEVA meant Service in Nepali Language.

CWISH ( Children-Women In Social Service and Human Rights) is a not for profit human rights organization working for the protection and promotion of human rights of women and children in Nepal since it’s establishment in 1993.

On the due course of implementing different programs CWISH has internalized the need to promote volunteerism for sustainable social developments.

However it has been receiving doing placement of volunteers since last ten years, SEVA is started from 2004 formally.


Working Areas in SEVA

Issues 
Gender, Child Rights, Human Rights, Internally Displaced People, Rural Development, Environment, Health, Psychosocial Counselling, Education and Office Development.


Programs
Research, Humanitarian Aid, Advocacy Lobbying Programs, Service, Trainings and Awareness Raising, Documentations, Web based Documentation, Promoting Sponsorship, Teaching and Recreational Programs for children, Fund Raising Initiatives, Library Management, Publications.

Volunteering Schedule

  • One Day orientation on different programs of CWISH and Placement Places
  • Developing schedules and activities to perform
  • Submitting a weekly report to CWISH by volunteer
  • Monitoring by CWISH of volunteers’ work
  • Submission of Final work report by volunteers
  • Award Certificates for Volunteers

(Mentoring for the volunteers would be frequent as per volunteers’ need)


Time Frame:
CWISH encourages those volunteers who do volunteer at least seven days and no more than one year. But it does not reject volunteer less than one week or more than one year.


Organizational Support?
Volunteers are requested to pay organizational support for conducting, managing and documenting all their works by CWISH. The part of this support would be used for the development of women and children in Nepal. The organizational Support would be as follows:
